In northern China, people weighing less than 50 kilograms were asked to stay indoors, to avoid being blown away by strong winds that hit various parts of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
This comes after the China Meteorological Agency issued a warning that the storm could intensify in the coming days. This is why people weighing less than 50 kilograms were advised to stay indoors as they are at risk of being swept away by the storm.
It is a storm that has been affecting this country since April 11, 2025.
This storm, which is blowing from parts of Mongolia, has uprooted more than 300 trees and damaged a car.
Although no one was injured, Beijing's 22 million residents were advised to avoid non-essential travel.
The storm also disrupted transportation, with more than 400 flights grounded at Beijing Capital International Airport. Train services were also suspended.
This is the first time in 10 years that China has been hit by a strong storm of this magnitude.
