Heyo, Nik here!
Today is a special day: My parents have been married for 32 years. 🙌🏼 Also, my second book, 2-Minute Pep Talks, is available today.
Coincidence? I think not.

Depending on when you joined Four Minute Books, you might not know this, but I am, first and foremost, a writer — a writer who, perhaps like any writer, loves books. That's why I started this project, and even though I'm now running it more like a business, the writer in me is still in charge.
Without my parents, this writer wouldn't exist. Nor would Four Minute Books or my latest piece of work: 2-Minute Pep Talks. My parents raised me to be a dreamer, a boy whose strongest trait was his imagination, and therefore, I wrote the book in this spirit. It is filled with creative little stories from all walks of life in hopes of inspiring you, too, to turn your dreams into reality — no matter what they may look like.
The idea of this book is that pep talks are like vitamins more so than like steroids: They don't put you into overdrive, and they also don't come with side effects. A good pep talk merely maintains your natural spiritual balance.
Inspiration is not something that you need a motivational speaker to shove down your throat. You can have all the inspiration you need right where you are — you just need two minutes a day to make a conscious effort to access it. That's what the stories in 2-Minute Pep Talks are for.

The book includes 67 short pep talks, grouped into 5 sections:
- Comfort is about being at peace with the world and yourself, exactly as you are today.
- Work will deliver motivation, but it will also light the path towards discovering, creating, doing the job you'll never find on LinkedIn: the work you were born to do.
- (Tough) Love will provide new perspectives on things you've always known, while...
- Reminders will simply bring back some truths you need but might have forgotten.
- Hope wants to be nothing less than your springboard to the stars, even when the night feels dark and shrouded in mystery.
You can read a chapter a day, flip to a random page, or devour it all in one go, but whatever the occasion, my hope is you'll find the right pep talk for it in the pages of this book.
If you enjoy the summaries on Four Minute Books, I think you'll also like the chapters in this book. They're short, creative, and inspiring.

Over the next few days and weeks, I'll share some excerpts, perhaps interviews, and other little pieces of the book that I think you might find inspiring. For starters, I'd like to share with you 5 free chapters, one from each part, releasing each weekday next week. I'll send them to you right through this list, and there'll be an option to sit out just those emails while still getting the usual newsletter.
The book starts from $3.99, and if you want a PDF copy, you can just email me your Amazon receipt. I'll release the PDF version later, but for the launch, I'd like to stick with one channel.
Writing books is the hardest job I've ever had, but it is also the most fulfilling. It takes a long time and a lot of work to put together one book, let alone many, but I enjoy it. Most of all, however, the thought of inspiring you amidst the hustle and bustle of life that keeps us all busy continues to push me forward.
Thank you for supporting my work, for being a Four Minute Books reader, and for choosing to learn when you could choose to do a million other things.
Happy reading,
-Nik
PS: You can get the book here. Since Amazon takes a while to update everything, it might take a bit for paperbacks to show up. Hardcovers and ebooks are live, as far as I can tell.
